😯 Need Help… My Hotpoint Mistral 50/50 (frost free) keeps freezing up this in turn blocks the air vents to the fridge section and stops it cooling. The door seals seem fine…. After manual defrost it re-freezes up in about 3 days… Any advice… (I have heard you can set it to defrost frost free manually, by switching the lights on and off a number of times or something similar, is this true) THANKS IN ADVANCE…..

    Have a read of this:

    for the general outline.

R134a is the coolant BTW, not the model number – please re-check and post, to allow the fridge lads a better chance of helping you.

After you defrost the most important thing is to make sure the drain hole is cleared or it will just ice up again!
