A few months ago I replaced the thermostat as the fridge wasn’t cooling (the freezer was fine). I thought it was now working as the backplate started to ice up but it was not to be and it is still not cold enough. The temperature control dial seems to have no effect. Should I now ditch the machine as it is getting long in the tooth?
