I have a Hotpoint Ultra Condenser Tumble Dryer. Model CTD80.

I have this for about 9 years and It still looks brand new. A couple of weeks ago I noticed the LCD Display flicker. But It still worked. I thought nothing of It. After about 5 minutes the display then would become completely visible.

Yesterday the same thing happened but something new happened. The display completely turned off, but the dryer still worked. After everything was dried. I had some more clothes that needed airing. I put them In the dryer and nothing worked. I thought It maybe the fuse, so I changed It with another 13 amp. Nothing. The fuse Is OK. I got no lights now or power.

Obviously something Inside has malfunctioned. Reading about the flickering online I came across a Module. Part n/o – C00193806. Does anyone believe this to be at fault or could it be something else.

I would appreciate some feedback off this!

This machine is subject to the fire risk safety recall, has that been actioned on your dryer.

If not then you should register it online ASAP. You may be offered a new dryer for £99.

Thanks iadom. I did not know this. I gave In my serial number and model and mine appears to be for a recall. I will wait now to see what they say when they call me from Hotpoint now.

    Well spotted!
