    Hi All,
Having a problem with a Hotpoint Aqualtis washing machine module. The old PCB had blown, causing machine not to drain (pump is fine). I spoke to Hotpoint and ordered a new PCB C00274492 and smart card to program it.

The new module C00274492 has a J13 connection on it, whereas the old module didn’t. Has anyone come across this before and know a the modification solution?

Hotpoint didn’t mention there was a modification required when they sold me the part and now will not tell me what modification it requires 😡

    Any help would be appreciated

Iv just checked you would just leave it empty, often replacement boards have extra connections than the original is they fit more models.

Thanks for your reply. We tried what you suggested first before posting, but the machine is still faulty. The old module is blown and we have also tested a new pump on the machine. It fills with water, but no pump action. Even checked the pressure switch which is fine. There is no live from the module to pump and no breaks in wires. This is a puzzling one!

Is the motor working fine ? All other parts working ok ?

You programmed with the smart card reader ?

that’s a linear pressure switch model I believe so it won’t pump out with our water in the drum,

Yes – reset the pressure switch. There is a thread on here that will show you how to do it! Caught me the first time!

Hi guys, thanks for the replies and advise. We have done everything mentioned including resetting the pressure switch but it still wont solve the fault. The motor is running fine and the PCB has been programmed successfully. Not getting any pump action from the machine. We have even replaced the pump. any other suggestions?

How have you tested the pressure switch by the way? It’s the linear type so I’m curious as to the test method adopted?

What caused the pump driver to blow in the 1st place ?

You ‘reset’ the pressure switch using that link, sure. But how did you test the pressure switch beforehand to know that that is not faulty?

Just a thought, if the original pcb blew and stopped the pump then it suggests to me that there is a fault in the pump or its associated circuits. If you refitted the new pcb without finding out why the first one blew then the chances are that the new pcb has now also been damaged. 😥

That was why i asked what blew the pump driver, looking at the posts on this there’s no mention of it.

Hey Jim: I’ve not come across 1 of these yet, what are they like to work on mate ?

Don’t see many Aqualtis round here full stop TBH, then it’s mainly blocked pumps and drum lifters plus the odd door seal.
