    hi,
i cant find the date code on the machine, i presume it was on the door but she has had a replacement door trim as some point.
are there any other ways of identifying which motor it is?

Can’t you just fit an ARM20 armature and new brushes and be done with it?

    Re: hotpoint motor

from what I can see on the hotpoint disc is that there are 2 different ones.

Either a digital motor or an analogue motor.

The difference seems to be that if your machine has a seperate timer and module then it`s analogue and you need 1604812 and if its digital with combined microprocessor timer and module you need 1604822.

i would think a wm31 would be digital.

If you are replacing a GDA motor then you will need a fixing kit as well. 1604976.

    I think 😀

    Re: hotpoint motor

    cheers guys,
i’ll go and have another look at it.
i would have thought that 1604822 with the new motor terminal block would have done the job,i would assume a machine of this age was a digital motor.
My main worry is that the motor door pecker may not fit, any one had any problems in the past?

    Re: hotpoint motor

if the pecker is inboard, which it should be, then your ok. 1604822 comes with the inboard stud to which you attach the pecker.

    thanks guys,
i’ll still have a look at it tommorrow to confirm all the details.
1604822 doesn’t come with the stud any more but i should have one knocking around somewhere.

    Hi John
Green label = digital, so should be 1604822

It also has a larger tacho magnet when used with the earlier, large tacho.

If it has the hybrid timer unit as you say then it is a digital one.

    Jim.
