The Hotpoint FHP motor range has a plug change kit that comes with the motor. I once had a tool that enabled me to press the wires into the knife connectors, thus making permanant contact. However, since some kind sole removed it and the tool kit in which it was living from my car, I no longer have it!!
It is extremely difficult to push the wires down into the connectors giving a tight fit – they keep on falling out after a feww wash cycles.
Does anyone know what the tool is called and more to the point where I can get hold of one please?
    Thanks

Yeah, that is a Hotpoint part number you can use with either Merloini/GDA or wholesalers such as wash vac/parts center or electrue/connect (why do all of these have so many various names?) If you are stuck I am sure Dave Conway on this site will sort you out or I will if not.

I must admit though to not yet having changed to an FHP motor so do not know for sure if this is what you need but it is the Hotpoint plug tool we have used for 10 years or so.
