Hotpoint NM10644WWUK washing machine IC 7699915556510. The machine fill for a few seconds and a red spanner symbol flashes in the display and machine stops. i had previously fitted a door seal and interlock to the machine. the red spanner came on then. i switched the machine off then back on and the machine has worked ok for a week. Anyone have any ideas what fault the spanner issue is? or how to run a diagnostic on this model. I can’t seem to find any info on this model.
    Thanks Mark

it did the same, after about 10 seconds the spanner icon comes on and machine stops. i checked the filter for blockages.

ok did the motor turn at all ?

am looking for things it is doing wrong or not doing as a poss clue

was wondering if it was a water fill error but since this does not happen on spin then thats out

    now thinking motor problem

i have a feeling the spanner icon is saying there is a fault and i will have to run a diagnostic test to show the error code.

from what i can see you have to have a plug in diagnostic tool making anyone’s job who does not have one harder

lost access to Hotpoint tech after whirlpool takeover so cant get info as easily

thanks for the info dave. The machine seems to start working ok now. not heard back from them in over a week. i did go out and check board connections and heater and motor connections. the fault then went away.
