    This washing machine valve C0011033 has cracked, water everywhere.
    Replaced the valve but now the door lock C00254755 clicks 3 or 4 times – locks the door and will not start. Cannot open the door. Displayed F06 error.
    The motor is damp and has a slight earth fault. I disconnected the motor, same problem. The machine is in a very cold utility room. I’m leaving it to dry out hoping the motor is OK.
    Anyone had his fault damage the PCB?
    I’ve also got another Hotpoint w/m -simpler model- it will do a couple of washes then the door locks clicking a number of times and displays F06 error. Every time I go to it, it works correctly. This washing machine is in a cold garage.
    Can an earth fault cause the door lock to click a number of times and lock the door and not start a program?

    F06 is a door lock error

    the door lock closes but the machine does not know

    and yes dampness may be a problem

    fault list as

    Check for water leaks that may affect connectors J004 (collector)
    or J11 (three-phase) causing the relative contacts to short;
    – Check the door lock terminal board (possible problems due to
    aggression caused by manufacturing chemical residues that
    may cause short circuits);
    – Check J004/door lock wiring;
    – Replace door lock;
    – Replace PCB.
