When setting the temperature on the above oven turning the adjuster dial only turns the temperature down until it gets to 40deg then will not turn up again.
When trying to adjust the time the dial does not work at all.
The control is a control switch with a potentiometer.
I suspect the potentiometer but it doesn’t make sense that it will turn the temperature down. Does anyone know what reading I should get when testing this?
I noticed there were 4 wires with a plug loose behind the switch that was not connected to anything and went to J07 of the main PCB, any idea what this is for?

the thermostat switch is described as a coder which means is may not use a potentiometer as its mode of action.

part no for the sw is C00269131

as for the wire the tech wiring info is very sparse on this unit. Socket 7 is labelled “Chaive HW” what ever that means but if all the controls work its likely used on other models but not on yours

    Thanks Dave,

I think I will have to give the thermostat ‘coder’ a try.
I wondered if the additional wire was either for connecting a test unit/programmer or as you suggest for a different control for another model but then don’t understand why the wouldn’t only fit it with the additional component if necessary. Having said that I didn’t check to see if it unplugs from the PCB.

Thermostat Coder replaced and problem solved.
