Hotpoint oven grill problem

Hi

I have a hotpoint EW31 oven and when i switch the grill to 1 it comes on really hot like its on 6.

What could the problem be?

Sounds like a faulty regulator. THIS is the part you need.

Be sure to isolate from the mains if you are going to attempt this repair yourself.

Like a lot of things in life, its only easy when you know how. 😉

I have absolutely no idea of your technical capabilties. 🙂

It requires removal of all of the control knobs and buttons, facia front and possibly one or two other bits & bobs.

Sometimes the replacement part will not be exactly the same, often regulators from different manufacturers are used. These can have different connections which does make the job more complicated.
