ParticipantHi,
A customer of mine has a problem with her outer door glass on her main oven door. DD77CH. The usual thing has happened and its pulled the holding clips off the glass that fix to the metal inner.
The machine is an unusual colour, its called Champagne but i can’t seem to find the part anywhere. If I can’t get it she said she wants to replace both top and bottom outer glass with one thats very similar.
If its not available what is the nearest to this colour just plain white? and what are the last two letters on the model for this colour?Any help is always appreciated.
Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick
Have you tried Hotpoint/Indesit trade spares. the number I’ve got is 08448240333 but haven’t used them for a while so may be different now.

Those are the only letters for this model, the CH is for champagne.
Bottom door is obsolete, top one might still be available but its around £64.00
If the glass door has come away from the clips at the bottom you should remove the glass panels, clean, scrape, scrub off all the old adhesive and stick back on using Ambersil adhesive.
Best to leave the doors flat with some weight on them overnight before refitting if possible.
Done this type of repair many times with great success on different makes of oven.

Yep that high temp sealant is worth it’s weight in gold. Got me loads of brownie points over the years

Hi,
Thanks for your replies. I’ve tried all sorts of adhesives over the past 20+ years and none have worked over about a month or two, but haven’t tried the Ambersil. Its a new one for me.I know the CH was for the Champagne colour, The customer isn’t bothered about cost and was wondering if we could change both outer door glasses to match but what the nearest colour would be.
Thanks for your time guys.

I’ve just done a quick search at all the wholesalers for Ambersil sealant. The only one is Connect at £15.00, they’re out of stock at all the others. Is this the correct one before I order it. It doesn’t give any info about heat resistance.
Thanks
