    hi,
    WD645 front top PCB consol.
the start switch has fallen off the PCB.
If you get a new genuine one from Hotpoint, does it come ready to fit or do you need some software from Hotpoint to program it or fit EPROM’s etc to it?
    cheers.

COO140792 – Display card is just a drop in part, nice and easy. You don’t have to program, it comes complete. The main pcb is bottom right at the back, this is the one you have to program

Always keep a few old PCB ‘s and remove these switches to repair just such faults.

A bit fiddly given my old, shaky hands but I have done quite a few with no problems. 😀

I usually put a tiny blob of superglue under the switch I am replacing, allow it to set and the resoldering is less of a fiddle. 😉

    Tactile switch. Probably surface mount.
Take your pick or get them off ebay if you can’t be bothered to set up an account with RS.
