Clump of ice the size of a tennis ball on the right lower back wall of the fridge. Defrosted fridge 2 months ago. Freezer working fine. Bought 3 years ago. Problem started two years ago, but the clump of ice was much slower in developing. Now the clump of ice is larger, and developing more rapidly (2 months). Is this a common fault with this RFA52 Ice Diamond? I know somebody else who has the same unsolved problem with the same model.

I just read that blockage in gas system can cause an ice-ball.
    I also read:
If you get a ball of ice on a fridge wall for example or outside the actual cabinet then it is almost certain that the insulation is goosed. That being the case the best thing you can do is put it down to experience and go shopping for a new one. Insulation repairs are both time consuming and in most cases unsuccessful. It should be noted however that there are other things that can cause an ice ball on the inside on some machines so it is worth asking about it in the forums.
Does anybody know what are the ‘other things’ that can cause an ‘ice-ball’?
