Hotpoint RFA60 fridge freezer drain heater?

Drain gutter in fridge overflowing.

There are two thin wires that come from the terminal block and disappear up the overflow pipe (from the compressor end). I assume they terminate at a defrost heater but it feels like it’s lodged in. There is mains voltage across these wires but no continuity. Looked on Hotpoint website and others, but cannot find mention of a defrost heater.
