hotpoint rla33 thermostat

    have fit 2 x hpt2603481 thermostat still iceing up. has anyone else had problems with these stats?

    Morer than likely the tube the phial shoves into has moved, there was a problem with some of them moving causing them to freeze up.jj

    ive had a few of them ove written off, after countless stats and compressors

    (I don’t write them off you can take out the insulation at the back where the stat phial sits and reposition the phial so that is fastened to the evapoartor.Done it a few times now and works spot on,not origional spec of course,possibly better !

    This one didn’t need a thermostat just repositioned the phial through the evaporator held down with a length of plastic.

    feel the liner at the back, will be loose, you can push it in……..write off

    Always feel the liner first it’s fine on the htpt,although not alwways the case, it’s the thermostat phial location tube on this one has come away,gaffer tape would have done a better job when manufactured :rolls: write off,not this one.
    On the Santos the evap is 1/2″ forward from the back of the fridge so no problem there either.
