Hotpoint RLA34G frosting up at the back top

I have a Hotpoint RLA34G fridge that is frosting up at the back panel top half only though. I have defrosted it 3 times, but this time changed the thermostat, however, this did not resolve the issue, as frosting has started to come back. I also replaced the rubber seal on the door.
What else can I try?

it can also be a system problem either gas or compressor

does it switch off? in other words does the thermostat reach the desired temp and turn off the compressor. If no then
A) that why ice is building up as it never defrosts
B) it will use a lot of electric and in these high power cost days thats bad

frankly get a new one

its a professional job only as if its a compressor it has to be welded in and then re-gassed

i could not do my own if it went
