Hotpoint RLAV21 Larder Fridge Thermostat

Hi all,

Would someone be able to tell me the part number for a Hotpoint RLAV21 fridge? It’s only 18 months old but I think it has been wrong since day one.
I’m not convinced the original fitted thermostat is actually correct is the capillary seems to be too long and was in a “kinked” loop near the box. Hotpoint refuse to tell me the Ranco part number but are happy to charge me for a new one – but I want confirmation about the official part number first 🙂

The “fitted” thermostat is a Ranco K59L4141 with a capillary length of 106cm. If someone could confirm or deny that that is the correct thermostat for this fridge it would be greatly appreciated!

If this is the correct thermostat, does anyone know of a universal model/partno which would be compatible?

Correct part number is C00143388, no idea of Ranco number but the list price is under £7.00 ex vat, hardly worth wasting time on a universal alternative.

Ok,

Now I’m a little confused… I’ve just got a quote via the parts enquiry and it lists part number C00075583 at £26.59! It got added to the website this morning:

Is this a different part?

I’m confused as well, that part number is not recognised by Partfinder, the Indesit Companies own parts ID software.

It definately shows C00143388 as the correct stat. 😕
