ParticipantHi! Looking for help with my Hotpoint SDL510 Dishwasher , it has started to flash these two lights and won’t drain the water, I usually hear a pump but nothing, I read online it may be a blocked waste pipe but I have used a wet and dry vacuum on it and there are no obstructions so I am now confused?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Dave
I’ve put the wet and dry hoover on the end of the pipe and can feel the suction from the bottom of the drain inside the machine so it can’t be blocked still.
I know the hum that you’re talking about which it usually makes when it’s draining but it’s completely silent now

Moderatorno you dont get it
if the impellor is jammed and cant move it will make a very quiet hum but you have to listen very hard to hear itDave

you can see the grey outlet hose coming off the pump

Moderatorno that looks good
well next thing i would have done is checked the pump windings
if ok i would then trace the pump wires back to the board and check continuity
then look where the pump connects to the board and trace the connections to the triac that controls the pump and look for circuit damage

ParticipantHi Dave
I just want to say thank you for all your help, I’m not an electrician so I have no idea about checking circuit boards etc, I was just trying to save this from
being scrapped and calling someone out is going to be just as expensive as a new dishwasher.Thank you again

Moderatorno problem
i was hoping it was glass in the pump as it normally is but you get the challenging one
