hi everyone.i was called to a customer today with a fault of dishwasher tripping rcd.on inspection i found the plug to the heater had completely melted,on the bottom panel was traces of leakage which as far as i can see is sump gasket failure,is this common on this model.

Not common but I have had one or two, someone else had a similar leak mentioned on here in the past couple of weeks.
Seal comes as part of the sump, not expensive but a swine to fit. Worth checking the lower spray arm connection, this often comes loose and is a much more common cause of leaks.
