This machine overheats when on 45C wash, its scolding hot. Can any one confirm the ohms reading for the stat that fits beside the soap dispenser, or does the board need to be changed?

    Re: Hotpoint SDW60P Overheating

Hi and welcome to the forums.

What was the initial complaint from the customer?

TBH even water at 45C would feel seriously hot to the touch, you would need to use a thermometer to be certain it was overheating.

The resistance of the temperature sensor varies because it is an NTC, not a thermostat.

If it is faulty then it is hard wired to the pcb in any case.

Two variants of this machine, one Chinese :rolls: .

Full model number, commercial code and serial number needed to identify the correct module.
