A week ago I noticed that our diswasher had cease working and that cycle lights 2/4 were flashing. We checked the heater module and all ok. So we went ahead and replaced the PC board. However it still does not work. The first pre-wash cycle light comes on,it runs for thirty seconds or so,and then lights 2/4 start flashing and it stops.

We have been told that, when you install a new PC board, you have to ‘initialise’ it by starting the machine a certain way. Anyone know anything about this?

    Thanks for any help.

Initialisation instructions should have come with a new pcb. Sometimes the only way to clear it is to refit the old pcb, let it run as far as it can and then refit the new one.

Who did you buy the new pcb from?

    EDIT.
When a Bit 100 control card is first fitted, it may go straight into a factory test cycle.
To eliminate the test cycle: –
    • Switch On the machine and with the door closed.
    • Wait for the test cycle to start up (2 LEDs will start to flash).
    • Switch Off the machine with the door still closed and wait for 15 seconds.
    • Switch On the machine.
    • Reset the test cycle by turning the selector knob to reset and leave for 5 seconds.
Note: – all actions are to be carried out quickly and the 15 seconds must be exact.

NB. Any earth faults will cause pcb problems, all components especially the heater and main motor should be tests for insulation.
