Hotpoint single built in oven BS32P-Grill and Oven cut out

We have a hotpoint oven BS32p (3 years old and nothing but problems!). The oven and grill both cut out after anywhere between 5 and 45 minutes. The fan still works (light blew last year). After a rest both items start working again. We have replaced the thermostat but still the problem persists.

Option one: Repair
Could this be the switch dial? (No clear signs of burning out looking at part) and if it is, where can I get spares as Hot point itself seems to have disowned this model?

Option two: Replace
Am I best to call it a day and buy a new oven? The John Lewis built in comes with a 3 year guarantee seems the best at the price – would spares be a problem though?

The oven has only been displaying this fault since Sunday (failed while doing the Sunday roast!). The oven, as far as I can is well ventilated, but whether this is to Hotpoint specification I can not answer.

If I was to put in a new oven I would make sure that it has even better ventilation as a matter of course.

There is a cut out thermostat located in the top of the oven, part number 6101405. Around £7.00 ex vat. Well worth giving it a try.
