    does anyone know what error code AL 10 is on a hotpoint swd80 slimline dishwasher

    Heater fault, both the heating element and the control module are very common failure points giving this fault on the Indesit dishwashers.

    Heating element needs testing for continuity/resistance and insulation first of all, with the mains plug removed of course.

    the machine is only 4 months old it is still cleaning properly it displays the error code at the end of the cycle sholus i still get them out as its still under guarentee

    If its displaying an error code and is only four months old then you must get them out. no point waiting until it packs up altogether.
