I checked the terminal block, and all the associated wiring which is fine, so renewed the timer this morning. However, the unit remains dead, and I don’t know why. Is there any way of testing a timer conclusively, or should I suspect a faulty new unit? jonty July 14, 2017 at 3:01 pm #448963 MartinParticipant Re: Hotpoint SY10X Oven Timer Dead Is there power to the timer? Or maybe a connector block loose? Update in a day or two. jonty July 19, 2017 at 8:12 pm #448969 jontymoxParticipant Re: Hotpoint SY10X Oven Timer Dead Well, I replaced the suspect new timer, and all was well.
