Hotpoint t/Dryer condensing -TDWSF83B EP UK – no heat

I was called out to this dryer that was exchanged for £99 with Hotpoint by a customer, few months later the dryer is not giving out heat. The customer lost the transaction details and Hotpoint would not help out. I couldn’t work that out as they must have a record somewhere showing that the customer opted for new dryer exchange instead of modification.

Anyway, I traced the fault down to a blown thermostat and it looks like a sealed unit and the heater unit comes as one piece with the stats unless the stats can be removed by prying out the clips.

I can’t find the parts on Connect and Qualtex. Actually there’s nothing available for this model as I am assuming that it is very new and I have not had much success on getting replacement parts. Can you help?

One more reason to dislike Whirpool stuff, heater and stats complete, C00325945, a cool £77.00 list price. 😯
