HI

can anybody help with this one . went to this job today tc71 on heat
I thought this is nice easy one how wrong i was. first checked stat ok
then front stat that was ok so then removed drum for a good view micro switch ok well it was clicking but i never tested it . After puting it back together i replaced the heater unit and stat kit STILL NO HEAT it tumbles and and reversis ok . so the top timmer the only thing I didnt have so before i order it . I never tested micro has anyone had one of thease switches clicking but still faulty :con:

never had micro switch faulty but a simple continuity check will do.if that ok then your right it will be the timer unless it has a seperate reversing timer in base by motor as this can cause no heat also

if it has a small timer next to the motor visible by taking off lefthand side panel it will be that one. it switches the heater off when the drum stops to reverse. it is very common for it to fail with no heat.
if it has no bottom timer then it will definately be the top timer, there 2 or 3 different ones but i think the new one comes with a wiring diagram to convert it if different.

It does have the reversing timer.

1701133 is the reversing one. No heat in reverse interval. That’s where it jams.
1701746 for the count down timer, just in case.

yes it has reverse timmer buy the motor i will order one and give it a go
