ParticipantHi folks
Been to this today – no motor action/no heat.
Suspect reversing timer as got supply from door stat to timer but nothing out to heater and wiring looks like it has all been overheating.
I have only got wiring diagram for a TC11 so altho similar was difficult to test for motor action problem and can only assume there is an internal connection in the rev timer burnt out along with heater contact. Can hear the rev timer motor going tho?
Anyone come across this before or got a wiring diagram so I can test properly?
Whats involved with changing rev timer – looks a bit of a pig stuck under motor and fixing screw access looks a bit restricted to say the least.
Help and suggestions appreaciated as allways
Mick

Have you disabled your e-mail address in your UCP ?
I sent you a PM earlier regarding the Indesit dryer.
And yes, this timer is a pig of a job to change. 😥

Eventually. 😥
Its taken me over 20 minutes to get this thread to load.
The TC11 tech info is exactly the same for the TC71.
Will sort out the Indesit stuff for you.

Many thanks for the email Jim re the Indesit m/c
Hmmm.. I am sure the TC11 wiring diagram showed 4 motor conections going to the rev timer and I only found 3 + wiring colours were different as well – think I will have to re-check.
Any tips for changing the reversing timer on these anyone?
Thanks
Mick

I used an angled screwdriver, moles grips, pliers anything I could to get the darned screws out.

Sorry guys meant to finish this off.
Was definatly the rev. timer – over heated wiring must have melted or disloged the timer gearing as the time motor was running but not opperating either the motor or heater contacts.
Found the TC71 wiring diagram was a supliment to the TC11 manual and must have fell out as i found it after your comments Jim.
Managed to get the timer out after removing capacitor to make life easier and used a small rachet with a posidive bit to realase screws – far screw was in a slotted hole so didn’t have to uscrew all the way out but found the nearside screw a pain to get started so had to thread hole with screw first before trying to refit which helped.
Thanks for all the help Jim
