    Evening All,

I’m in need of some help.

I have a Hotpoint TCFS 73B condenser dryer which was happily working away – Heard a pop like sound similar to a fuse popping and the dryer just stopped working but I could still hear the condenser water pump running.

The display and all lights aren’t working. If I open the door the pump stops, if I close the door again the pump starts running again.

Just to confirm nothing but the pump is showing any signs of life.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Been taking a look at components. Just spotted a rubbed through wire on the heater element which had rubbed against the machine frame work (Might have shorted out) but wasn’t snapped.
It looks like its the NTC cable. If I replace the complete heater element is there any other components or fuses etc that might have been affected.

I’m hoping this is the problem.

Need this unit running ASAP 🙂

Can’t seem to upload images as they are to large for this site.

Must be the live cable I mentioned touching the machine casing 🙁
