    Hi experts,
Im beginning to think , someone upthere doesnt like me very much lol, i posted a thread about a [h=1]Hotpoint TCFS93B[/h] Now i have the above dryer the 835, and its similar to the other dryer thread but this one has the standard motor and capacitor starter on it , So, it came to me with no heater element fitted to it , mmmmm suspicious i thought , so what i did was swop the element over from the slow starting 93B dryer, , same fitting etc , i thought Bingo , at least one fully working dryer (as i was confident the heater element ive fitted was A1, , So, any programme press start, dryer sounds lovely heats up within a Min, but then it cools down and wont heat back up , unless dryer is switched off and restarted, and then same again 3-4min hot then cools down, so , Im thinking front thermistor/thermostat?
    Any thoughts Guys/Ladies

Thanks Dave, , well ill admit i haven’t checked the out put for the heater element, but its not going to be vastly different, im not saying its a plug n play scenario, and both innards are super clean , so pretty confusing, there is a thermostat or is it called a thermistor at the front of the dryer, i’ve never changed one of these, , , im thinking if the outputs the same, and the stats on it are ok, then maybe the front one, you know its under the door filter, confusing…… and confused, is that stat a possibility?

different elements can be fitted to dryers with the same model never mind with a different one. changes can be element type ot thermostat differences

    its worth checking

front themistor should be 62000 ohms at 20 degrees while the heater one is 124000 at 20 degrees
