I need some advice please, because I do not know whether my machine is operating properly, or has a fault.

My condenser tumble dryer gave up the ghost and I had to replace it. My new Hotpoint model, which arrived this morning, acts strange. Depending on the cycle, it tumbles for a while, then stops for 15 mins, before tumbling again. Then it stops again for a further 15 minutes before starting again. During the spell that it has stopped you can still hear it functioning. It’s as though it is going through a washing machine cycle. At the end the clothes are dry, so I know it’s working. Has anyone else experienced this, please? My previous models have always tumbled throughout the cycle.

Hmm, has your machine got a small green dot sticker inside the door?

This model range is over two years old and has the same basic innards as the Hotpoint models of the past 9/10 years or more.

None of the earlier ones have a fifteen minute pause but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been introduced on later ones such as yours which is designated a B energy model.

Give Hotpoint a ring as they will be able to tell you for certain, unless it is mentioned in your user manual.

I have tried to download a copy of the user manual but there appear to be problems with their web site ATM. 🙁

you may be putting it on delay timer by accident.
Could be the sensors are picking up all different readings!
sensor dry need to be correct weights, same material and ideally same thickness or sensor dry can be conned!!!
Failing your doing all that I say there may be issue with module.
