    Hi Guys
This is the old style condenser dryer but with the new Whirlpool style motor. Error code F04 comes up after a while but it also does not heat. I see that F04 on the Hotpoint dryers is the pump running when it shouldn’t but just wondered if there would be any other reason as the pump seems to stop and start fine. Also if I open the door and close again the machine wont start until I unplug.

    Any advice would be appreciated
    Dave

    Hi Dave
Punp fault is for the early EVO electronic modules. Arcadia electronics has been used for quite a number of years now. These modules use a different set of codes to the early EVO versions.

F4 Is no rise in temperature detected by rear NTC. (Usually a duff heater or thermostat/cut-out kit)

    Thanks Murv.
I checked heater and stats and customer says it works sometimes. I’ll call back and check the Heater circuit.
