Hi, I have a Hotpoint TD WSF83 EPZ (UK) dryer. I recently replaced the belt and in the process found two pieces of fairly “mangled” “cord” wrapped around the drum shaft in between the drum and back panel.
i can see what looks like the parts on an exploded diagram as attached but they are in such a bad state I have no idea how they fit? Can anyone help. All the videos I see make no mention of them? Are the actually necessary? I have reassembled everything and all work fine?

if your talking about parts 7831 and 32 they are the pipes from the rear.

the picture is looking from the front so those parts are outside the case

Thanks Dave, that’s good, any ide what these bits are? Perhaps they are nothing to do with the machine, just “escapees” from the drum?? Like 2 different thick shoe laces? One has ZOTI written on it?

Interesting, I did google ZOTI but didn’t come up with anything like that. My lads were into rugby so could be a shorts tie or hoodie tie? Thanks again- just glad I didn’t try to wind it around the shaft again!! I think I will leave it at that. Thanks
