Hotpoint TDC30 cond dryer no heat. Where is front stat?

Have read here about a front stat on this model. Since everything else checks out OK (I was thinking timer, maybe) can someone please describe where I can find this front stat? Is it a drum out job?

nah

open the door
and on the baffle betwwen the door and the drum
look up, at 12 o’clock and you’ll see it, screwed in with 2 screws
undo the screws and gently wiggle it out

be careful the wires dont come off

I usually find that it helps to whip the lid off and snip the small plastic tie wraps holding the wiring to the front stat. It just gives you a little more room to ‘wiggle it out’ 😆

often the wires to the stat burn out, very rare for timer to fail on these

Just to round this one off, turned out to be a burnt out timer!
