    Right..!!

    What have I done wrong?? Tumble dryer (hotpoint TDC30P) stopped heating so initally I replaced the thermostats. Nothing! SO, then I replaced the heating element. For the first minute or so the dryer seemed to tumble ok, but soon there was a burning smell so I quickly switched off! Now, the dryer won’t tumble and the back cover gets very hot very quickly – I never leave it so long to find out what might happen! Have I successfully managed to kill my dryer..?

    sounds like you may have removed one of the motor connections while changing the parts?, power off before looking

    Thanks for your reply! It did tumble after I replaced the heating element but I stopped it as soon as I smelled something burning.. Almost as though something has overheated?
