My tumble dryer stopped heating a couple of days ago so I decided to get some advice.

I found the info I thought would solve the problem on this site. Having taken the back panel off I noted that the heating element had a break in it – and thought this would be the problem. I also thought it best to change the thermostats as many had suggested this could also be a culprit.

So I purchased new thermostats and heating element from you – delivery was really quick too – Thanks for great service 🙂

However – having replaced the thermostats and heating element the dryer is still not heating. It is turning, changing direction and fan is blowing, timer works fine too. The red light that is supposed to come on to indicate drying does not light however.

Is there anything else that could be causing the problem?

On your model you have another thermostat located in front of the drum. If you open door and look up at the twelve o,clock position you will see the head of the thermo and two screws, other possibility is the timer.

Remember to UNPLUG machine to make safe.

oh right. I didn’t see that one before -or get told it might need changing. How easy would it be to change that – and do you think I might not needed to have changed the other parts? I’m not sure I want to spend a lot more – it’s already cost over £50. 😕

Only a multimeter will tell if faulty set to ohms. 😉 . Power off before testing.
