Thermostats, heater, bad connections, faulty dryness module. Sadly the fault description points to the £100 dryness module. 🙁

At £100 for the part after wasting money on parts you should have tested first I should say not that difficult to fit but possibly more than the machine is worth. 🙁

Fair point. Are there any checks/tests I can do to confirm that it is the dryer module?

There is another thermostat, hidden inside the top of the door opening, testing that might be a good idea.
This type of fault on the dryness module can usually be seen in the from of burnt connections on the module. No tests as such.

Thanks – on another forum someone has suggested the orange relay switch (Schrack RT314024) on the circuit board of the dryness module (blue colour) is faulty. RS electrics and Farnell has it. Costs £2.50. This seems worth a try – any thoughts?

As far as I am aware I have heard no reports of successful repairs of this pcb. One of the major players in pcb repairs EMW will not repair this pcb due to corruption of other components when the relay fails, you may not even have a faulty relay, just burnt contacts.
Have you checked the door mounted stat?

Yes – that’s fine. I guess it’s the dryness module then – assume this is the one http://www.espares.co.uk/part/tumble-dr … -modu.html. If it doesn’t solve the problem can just return it….

Be very careful, I have had a quick read of their T&C’s, can see no mention of pcb’s but I would get confirmation in writing first as very few if any parts suppliers will accept electronic circuit boards back for credit. If I buy a pcb from any of the major suppliers to the trade there is no warranty or returns on pcb’s full stop.
