Participantcustomers been in and asked for a relay for a tdc62 cos it turns on and light comes on but nothing else happens.
looked on connect couldnt find anything – only had a module listed, so is this one where it isnt available separately?
have sent him off with a capacitor for the motor to try first, and will await for further news, but if anyone can list a hpt code it would be much appreciated.

Sound like a door switch problem to me…..
No relay on this Indesit – built gem; just PCB module and selector switch.HTH,
Steve.

Sorry Jim – I realise that saying ‘Indesit’ in such a frivoulous fashion instantly earns you five lashes with a cat’o’ninetails if you so much as utter it in the “Church of the Good Hotpoint”………. :snigger:
Merry Christmas to ya!!!!!!!

Sadly many, many years since it was ‘Good’ Hotpoint. They had been on a slippery slope for a long time, Indesit just turned it into a cliff and pushed them right over the edge. 😥
Mind you, compared to the CDT range the TDC dryers are quite decent.
A Merry Christmas to you to Steve, hows the snow down there, its causing me some grief round here.
Jim.

Cheers for that, been too busy with new sales to go out to look at it, and you know what those peasant mortals are like with describing their appliance problems. its even worse when you have a gung-ho DIY one… they way he was rattling off about “stats if ones blown it wont make a circuit will it, or maybe the relays and the motor and the interlock etc cos ive been looking on the internet and they seem to be common problem with hotpoint dryers…” then what do you think was the problem? have i got stock off the shelf blah blah blah ud think hed been on here already… :rolls:
but yes, should he call back tomorrow i shall supply said door catch and if that doesnt work, offer a peak at it if he wants before finally sending it to the scrapheap in the sky…
oh yeah…
