Hotpoint TDC62P not heating

Can anyone help havea Hotpoint TDC62P condenser dryer which seems to be functioning fine, all apart from it not heating! I have changed the two thermostats at the rear and the heater element, but still no joy. All lights on the front are normal.

There is another thermostat located in the top of the door surround, a bit fiddly to get at.

If that is OK and all of the wiring connections check out then the (very expensive ) dryness module may be at fault.

Theoretically it could be the selector switch but I have never had to change one of those.

I also have a TDC62

I have tried several times to get at this thermostat’s fixings but without success.

Can anyone suggest a way to access it for testing?

It usually helps to snip off the plastic cable tie from around the wiring harness just above the stat from inside the top, ( with the plug removed of course) .

Then by removing the two screws it is just possible to pull it down far enough to test or replace.
