Fault no heat .changed stats 1701583 cleaned condensor, filter etc second recall ,keeps blowing stats ,any thoughts M.

Faulty dryness module. ?

Does the heater light come on as soon as you switch on, before you press the Start button, does it stay on during the short reverse tumble ? I have changed a few modules on these with relay faults that keep the heater on all the time, it should switch off in reverse.

You will have to replace the stat or bypass it to check this.

Module is a 1602136, list around £67.00 + vat 😥 Unfortunately, QER & EMW do not repair these.

I have one of these today doing the same thing. I can’t find anything wrong apart from a bulge in the side of the capacitor. The machine seems to have plenty of starting torque but the capacitor may be breaking down when hot.

I have replaced the capacitor and left the customer to put it though a few vigorous tests,

I will let you know the outcome
