Hotpoint TDWSF83BEP condenser drier knocks.

Hotpoint TDWSF83BEP condenser drier. (Whirlpool). 8599 910 08660. 07 1617 003796.

15 months old drier knock as it turns; but only when really hot. I found that when the back panel behind the holes at the back of the drum was pushed backwards towards the heater with the end of a screwdriver through the holes, the noise stopped. When it got hot again the noise reappeared. Removed the heater panel and ran it while knocking as I removed each panel screw in turn – no difference. I think the sheet metal is buckling slightly in use and the drum hole punchings are clipping the raised edge of the heater aperture.
Is this an known issue on these driers? This was a £99 special to replace the old CTD00P she had before that was subject to the recall.

Any help on this please?

Had a few with socks or colour catchers in the front fan area, if the filter is cleaned with a load in socks etc drop right in.
