Hi
My tumble dryer won’t turn on I have check the power socket and the fuse in the plug and these are all ok.
The dryer was working ok, I cleaned the bottom filter and re started it and all was ok when I went back to it, it had switched off and won’t turn back on.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I have now had someone take a look at the machine and I am told it is the main PCB board that is faulty.
I have been told this is a common problem for this model and that you can’t get a replacement PCB board for this model.
Has anyone else been told this or know if this is a common problem and there are no replacement parts ?

Not true, machine is a Whirlpool based dryer, still under the Hotpoint five year parts warranty for a start.
Control module ‘if required’ is part number C00384391, list price £86.50.
Not familiar with this model of dryer but it was a very common fault on Whirlpool washing machine control modules.
You may need to contact Hotpoint direct as this is an exclusive machine produced to replace the fire risk dryers. Hotpoint will do the whole repair for labour charge only.
