This machine has a “Crease Care” facility at the end of drying. It gives the drum the odd turn now and again after the cool tumble. A customer was telling me that her machine carries on doing this indefinitely until she switches it off. It has done this since the machine was new. Is this how it is supposed to work or should it only do this for a certain time?

My own one does it indefinitely, kids turn the alarm off too so who knows how long it’s been running. 😛

Most if not all dryers with crease care do this, I recall the old Hoover Logic series also included an alarm that sounded like a bee in a jamjar!

It can give you quite a shock, was repairing a washer in a garage the other week when the dryer at the side of it suddenly burst into life for a couple of seconds. :zap:

It gave the customer a few shocks as well 😳 . The door microswitch failed and I bypassed it until I could get a new switch. I had instructed them to turn it off at the wall before unloading but of course they mostly forgot and sometimes the drum started turning when they were unloading. To make matters worse, the microswitch was on back order from Connect since early December and only arrived today. 🙁
