Hi There, I have got a problem with my Tumble dryer, any advice help will be appreciated.
I had replaced Heater elements that came with its Thermostat and thermal cut out.
When switching the dryer the drying indicator lights comes on the machine begins to spin after about 30 seconds it pauses and then starts again but this time the Cooltumble light come on along with the drying light on.

It seems as if the Element hasn’t switched on at all when touching the back panel it is all cool. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks and regards.

Either incorrectly wired or wrong heater fitted or the pcb is faulty or has been damaged.

Have you contacted Hotpoint about the safety/fire risk recall on this appliance?

NB. There are four different heaters for this model as well and it has a safety stat, a cycling stat AND an ntc fitted.

If you can give us the full serial number and the commercial code from inside the door and the part number of the heater you have fitted we can tell if you have the correct one.

Hi Thank you for your prompt reply, the wiring configuration on the new heaters were exactly the same color coded and positioned. It has got the 3 items fixed on the Heater mounting bracket which I assume are 2 stats and a thermal cut out units.

The Replacement heaters were purchased from E Bay. The sellers advert says replaces C00258828, it looks exactly the same to the one removed. Photo of the new heaters attached. The older Stats and cut out are all black in colour the new one has got 2 black coloured and 1 white.

Thanks for informing me about Fire safety, after seeing your response I had submitted the online report to hotpoint.
The Model NO is CTD 40P Serial NO 601240071.
Will very much appreciate for your feedback on this matter.
    Thanks and Kind regards. Rai

On my iPad ATM , will give you the correct part number later when I have checked on my main PC but I can tell you that is the wrong part. The white and black components you refer to are the ntc’s. They are not interchangeable .

EDIT: The correct part number is C00258799.
