Checked our CTD580P last night on http://safety.hotpoint.eu/ and yes it is one of the affected models. Our machine is now registered for a mod and we will be contacted in the next five weeks.
Advised by the screen at the end of registering that we can continue to use the appliance as long as the fluff filter is cleaned after every use and not to leave the appliance running unattended.
Recieved an email this morning from Whirlpool explaining how to identify affected models and the reporting procedures.
For everyone’s info these docs are attached.
No doubt all media streams will be reporting this in the coming days. At least we can point consumers in the right direction and reassure them that the situation is in hand.
