Hows all,
i have a hotpoint tumble dryer tcd970 here in the workshop, i set the programme, she starts drying and then after 3 mins it goes completely dead i.e. the digital screen. i seen on the pcb thread that if you change the two capacitors on the board it might solve it but unforubately it hasnt. any one any ideas?Re: hotpoint tumble dryer tcd970 dead

Models fitted with A1 type Module
The one-shot thermostat is wired into the Neutral supply of the module. If the One-Shot
Thermostat operates and opens the machine will be ‘dead’ and the display will be blank.
A fault code will NOT be displayed.
Models fitted with A2 type Module
If the 1 shot thermostat operates and opens, the machine will continue with the cycle with no
heat.
