ParticipantAny body know where I can get a spin dryer pump for this model. The old girl who owns this is beside herself and wants this fixed. The machine looks almost brand new, and must be atleast 30 years old.
Regards

Taff9414 is the lastest, and last production, will be around 10 to 12 years old, already a large number of parts are obsolete, including, pumps, wash motor, spin shaft & bearing. you can still get the gearbox at around £119 plus Vat. 😆

I have a large number of spares for the twin tub AND top loader hotpoints. A lot of the old workforce are sadly leaving this planet at the moment, and the contents of their garages seem to be coming my way ! (My business is 300 yards from the origional Hotpoint site) let me know if i can be of any help.. Regards Gary (legsthediver)

You didn’t work on the 1400 Mks 1 to 5 then? HL2468 spin unit, HL2289 Condensor ( as we called a capacitor then) & HL2178 relay all changed at the same time.

Nope, I know you are all dying to know, 😉
Parts are the post nut and gearbox for the Hotpoint Empress model 1090 which had a massive 1/4 hp British Thompson Houston motor driving the gearbox. I am certain that many hundreds of those motors are still around in sheds and garages throughout the land driving all sorts of devices.
