    Hi all,

I have a leak ongoing that appears to be coming straight from the door. There is a small notch cut out at the very edge of the door seal to the left of the opening.

If I push the door hard then it helps prevent more water coming out. I’m fairly convinced that I need a new door seal but not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} and wanted to run it by you guys.

I believe this is the part, do they have it in the shop here?

    Re: Hotpoint Ultima 1200 Leak

You would need to give us the correct model number and serial number. 1200 is the spin speed. 😉

At least four different seals for machines with the Ultima name on them.

The door seal will almost certainly have been damaged by someone closing the door with an item of clothing not pushed fully into the drum and jamming the door on it, this results in a piece being ripped out of the seal lip.

Thanks! I’ll check that out when I get to the flat.

I know what you mean. Definitely can see that someone has been rather haphazard with their loading method! 😆

    Hi all,

It’s a WD71 hotpoint Aquarius washer dryer. From my description, what are the chances of this being the seal?

Do we have the necessary part and info on fitting on this site?

    Thanks,
    Dave.

THIS is the part you need.

We can’t go into explicit details, we assume some technical nouse on your part. 😉

Mains plug out, front panel off to access, there is a small vent inside at the top for the dryer, this is secured by two hidden screws, loosen these screws but don’t remove them completely.

    Thanks iadom!

Ordering now. Will confirm the fix after I’m through.

    Many thanks.
    Dave.
