I have just read Mikegggg post of 1st July 2005 as I have similar problems with my machine. I have cleaned out the pump and filter but still get problem with no hot water fill (cold water ok as tried a rinse cycle) and pump timing out after machine empty – not being so knowledgeable, can someone please describe what the pressure switch looks like and where it can be found so I can check it?
    Thanks

If the machine fills and empties with cold water on the rinses then the pressure switch is unlikely to be at fault. In fact the pressure switch is one of the more reliable components in these machines. Several other causes can give E15 particularly as you say it is emptying OK. There is very little you can do with a pressure switch, it is a sealed unit.

If you read through most of the thread you refer to you will see that the general consensus at the end was that the pressure switch was not at fault.

Iadom – thanks for quick reply.
Makes sense about cold water working. Think I need a new brain cell!
I’m not sure how to check the heater unit so I will call an engineer – however, these problems have arisen after having an ‘engineer’ (according to the add in Yellow pages) out to replace the door gasget. Unfortuneatley due to work, I had to leave a relative to let the engineer in and on returning home found that he had not reconnect machine or tested it. I have called him again but so far does not seem to want to come back. I’m not sure if he would have had to disturb any of the wiring as the fault(s) have only started since he’s been.
