The dryer in my WD71 machine is not heating. The resistance in the dryer heaters is around 65 ohms each and both the thermostat and thermal fuse have continuity when tested with a meter in situ (Usually it is oneof these that is the problem!) Does anyone have any ideas.

No – we will not encourage or condone live testing – don’t do it. Chase the circuit round with a multimeter by all means – there are thermostats and safeties to be checked, elements to measure resistance on. You might observe whether or not the blower runs, but don’t stick your fingers in with the power on.
Being a digital machine, it is entirely possible that the computer is no longer turning the dryer on at all. If the computer is still active, it should throw up an error code.
