Hotpoint Ultima 1400 WM76 – Error code E30

Hi

i have tried using my Hotpoint and found it only filled up the prewash tray and then an E30 error came up. i have tried several times more to start the program but it will not fill with water at all now, going straight to the error code.

i have various problems sometimes with this machine, sometimes the door gives an error, and sometimes it get stuck repeating a cycle over and over, but i can get round all those…..i could really do with knowing how to fix an E30 error though- i know an F30 error is a engine drive problem, is this also an E30? If so how can it be fixed?

Also i have not had this machine from new…do you know how old it might be or where i can get a manual – i have tried the hotpoint service site to no avail.

E30 is no motor – probably the carbon brushes at that age (8-10 yearsish)

Power off before extracting brushes.

One of the first two, depending upon which motor is fitted.

Er, the ones in the motor will look the same? The first ones are a snap fit into the sides of the motor, the FHP ones are screwed to the end frame.
